S.B.P. Solvent
The main use of SBP solvent is in the rubber industry particularly in tyre manufacture during the process of vulcanisation. It is also used in the following applications :
- For the preparation of certain rubber mixes, cements and adhesives.
- As a thinner for varnish, paint and printing inks formulations where quick drying is required.
- As a diluent for lacquer, enamels, high grade leather dopes & as a solvent for processing polishes, cleaning & water proofing compounds.
- As a solvent for dry cleaning where quick drying time & reduced residual odour are desired.
RC - Mineral Turpentine Oil
It is a clear hydrocarbon solvent used for the following applications :
- In the manufacture of surface coatings like paints, varnishes & lacquers.
- Dry cleaning.
- As a solvent for textile printing with pigment colours.
- Solvent for metal & machine degreasing.
- Thinner for oil soluble rust preventive & lithographic varnishes.
- Diluent for many types of water proofing, moth proofing, binding & sealing compounds.
- Solvent for wax, rubber & resins in the manufacture of electrical insulating compounds.
- Solvent in the preparation of bituminous paints.
- Scouring agent for raw wool.
- Thinner for oil cloth manufacture.
